Recent improvements to the platform, modules, remote support, and customer-facing operations.

Security and identity

  • Security detections are now available. Review findings, accept risk when appropriate, and restore items later from an Accepted risks view.
  • Risky logins appear as a dedicated tab. Unusual sign-in activity is easier to scan without cluttering higher-severity findings.
  • SCIM-managed groups stay read-only. When SCIM is enabled, group membership cannot be changed in the UI or via the API—identity stays with your provider.

Monitoring, alerts, and dashboards

  • Alert rules compose monitors with rule-owned timing. Combine conditions and fire only after a sustained match, with clearer Down and Degraded wording.
  • Device monitors now use priority (P0–P2). Set how critical a monitor is when it fires so important checks stand out from lower-impact ones.
  • Active-list dashboard widgets are available. Pin live alerts, fleet jobs, incidents, and scheduled tasks to ops and TV boards without mixing in resolved or idle items.
  • Fleet Map is available as a dashboard widget. Pin device geography to an ops board with tag filters alongside the rest of your fleet view.
  • Incident Management and status-page publishing are unified. Publish or unpublish on-call incidents from the incident workflow; public status pages reflect those incidents.
  • Paid plans include bundled monitors, scheduled tasks, and status pages. Standard and Business start with included ops allowances instead of metering from zero.

AI, CLI, and fleet operations

  • Pingüino can create confirmed fleet jobs. Jobs run with progressive per-device results posted back into the conversation.
  • AI fleet command review is clearer. A stepped review flow, privilege context, and tabulated results make it easier to approve and follow execution.
  • Free Plan chats go to Capibara. Free workspaces get a bounded AI guide instead of paid-plan specialists.
  • Web CLI is safer and more guided. Org, device, and session context stay visible, with curated read-only device recipes for common tasks.

Logs and fleet visibility

  • Log search is easier to learn and faster to use. Filter help and autocomplete make common queries less guesswork during investigations.
  • Log chips support dig-in actions. Jump from a device or monitor chip straight to terminal, device detail, or related monitor lists.
  • Location tags are back on device lists. Filter and scan by location in day-to-day fleet views.

Single-device connectivity monitoring

  • Watch one critical device without fleet-wide noise. Create a connectivity monitor for an individual device so sustained offline behaviour raises a focused alert.
  • Anti-noise defaults keep short flaps quiet. Alerts fire after consecutive offline checks, not every brief blip on the wire.
  • Put canaries on the dashboard. Track selected single-device monitors next to fleet views so sentinel or VIP hardware stays visible during incidents.
  • Stuck monitors pause themselves. If a monitor stays in failure long enough, Dataplicity disables it automatically so a permanently broken check does not keep paging you.
  • Removing a device clears its monitor. Deleting hardware also removes the linked connectivity watch, so orphaned alerts do not linger.

Security, operations, and remote access

  • Security Activity is now available as a dedicated audit view. Review sign-ins, access changes, remote sessions, and fleet events in one place - without digging through general device logs.
  • Log management is clearer and historical browsing is more reliable. Configure sources separately from viewing logs, with smoother loading when you page through long history.
  • Use Dataplicity CLI workflows directly in the app. The browser CLI brings familiar command-line tasks into your workspace, with the same terminal and device permissions you already have.
  • Terminal filtering is easier on large fleets. Tag filters and fleet counts make it simpler to narrow down the devices you need before you open a session.
  • Fleet jobs are easier to follow. Status summaries and per-target run logs make execution outcomes clearer when a job spans many devices.
  • Device class management has expanded. Device class detail pages now provide richer operational context for how hardware is grouped and operated.

AI, billing, and account administration

  • AI assistants are easier to reach and more capable. Pingüino, Búho, and Capibara support ongoing conversations, clearer handoffs, and shared screenshots or files.
  • Billing self-service is built into the app. Update billing details and payment methods without leaving Dataplicity or opening a support ticket for routine changes.
  • SSO configuration is now available on paid plans. Teams can manage their organisation sign-in setup directly in Dataplicity.

Customer communication

  • Status pages have a refreshed design. Published service health is clearer and easier to scan for customers and operators alike.
  • Incident updates can be published to selected status pages. Keep customers informed from the incident workflow instead of copying status into a separate tool.

CLI session reliability improvements

  • Terminal session close behavior is more resilient. CLI sessions now handle cleanup stalls more gracefully, so ending a remote session is less likely to hang when teardown is slow.

Log ingest performance under load

  • Log ingest flow is more resilient during traffic spikes. Backend changes reduce contention on high-volume paths, so log delivery stays responsive when many devices write at once.

CLI onboarding and AI Copilot workflow improvements

  • CLI install guidance is now clearer in-product. Teams can get started faster with improved onboarding and setup guidance without leaving the workspace.
  • Homebrew install instructions were improved. Setup is more straightforward with corrected install path guidance for macOS.
  • AI Copilot guidance in terminal workflows was refined. Starter prompts and follow-up behavior are more consistent during day-to-day device operations.
  • File transfer and terminal interactions are more polished. Transfer status handling and terminal UX updates reduce friction in routine remote work.

Clearer connection health signals

  • Connection quality now separates availability from latency more clearly. Teams can distinguish "the device is unreachable" from "the device is reachable but slow," which changes what you investigate first.

SSO callback support for web and CLI

  • SSO redirect handling now supports callback-based sign-in flows more reliably. Web and CLI loopback callbacks complete more consistently during organisation sign-in.
